ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing critical care to patients in need.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions through continuous assessment and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on care processes and recovery plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic charting systems.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Ability to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs.

Schedule

This position requires working weekends, with a schedule of every other weekend. The shift pattern includes three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Additional Information

• Travelers must pass the EKG exam prior to starting.
• Guarantee of contracted hours, with a call-off policy of 2 shifts per 13-week assignment.
• Local candidates (within a 50-mile radius) are not accepted.
• Candidates must be away for 1 year to be eligible for rehire as travelers.
• System policy limits travelers to 2 contracts before a required 6-month wait period to return.
