Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) delivers holistic care to patients and their families. This role emphasizes independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions, guided by the standards and competencies specific to the designated service area. Care spans across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and seniors.

The RN is responsible for executing the Standards of Nursing Practice, which encompass:

• Assessment
• Nursing diagnosis
• Outcome identification
• Planning
• Implementation
• Evaluation

The RN actively develops and revises patient care plans, coordinates care across disciplines, and delegates responsibilities to other care providers as needed. Participation in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices is fundamental. By engaging in practice and implementing leadership skills, the RN helps define, implement, and enhance practice standards, fostering an exceptional care environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Med/Surg experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Epic Experience
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations

Additional Requirements

• Current work history relevant to the role
• Skills checklist, current within one year, pertinent to the specialty
• Two supervisory references with employment dates
• All relevant time-off requests must be submitted with the application

A temporary Minnesota nursing license will be accepted if applied for a permanent license at the time of submission.
