X-Ray Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified X-Ray Technologist to join our Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have experience in general X-Ray operations and possess the necessary certifications. This position requires the ability to work varying 12-hour shifts primarily during the day with occasional night shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform X-Ray imaging and other related duties in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Utilize the department’s imaging equipment including Carestream and Siemens systems.
• Maintain accurate patient records and handle electronic medical records (EMR) efficiently using Synapse software.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and team members.
• Participate in department-specific orientation and ongoing training as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in X-Ray imaging.
• Current certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and Certified Radiologic Technologist from ARRT.
• Experience with various imaging types, including orthopedic X-rays.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• No experience with starting IVs required for this position.

Work Environment

The Radiology department is equipped with a total of three imaging systems, including 2 Carestream machines, one Siemens fluoroscopy unit, and C-arms used in the operating room. Clinicians will primarily focus on X-Ray imaging and will be required to float between inpatient and outpatient areas as necessary.

Additional Information

• Reports to the Radiology Supervisor or Lead Technologist.
• No Registered Radiology Assistants are employed in the department.
• Radiologists are present on-site Wednesday and Friday.
• Scrubs should be black in color, and are provided by the agency.
