Radiologic Technologist – X-Ray

Shift Notes: Five 8-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend and holiday coverage if necessary. On-call requirements are three shifts per month.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
• Apply appropriate skills to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• May be assigned independent responsibilities by supervising staff or management.
• Ensure proper care of clients in accordance with departmental and organizational policies.
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with established standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating and troubleshooting CR, DR, and PACS applications.
• Attend mandatory education sessions, including bloodborne pathogens and infection control.
• Maintain required department competencies and skills in the field.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiologic technology, with at least 1 year of current experience.
• ARRT (R) certification required.
• Must be willing to see patients in the operating room (OR).
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
• Must possess a Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License or provide proof of application.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• Must own a vehicle for travel purposes.
• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application, and vacation time will be limited to a maximum of five days during the assignment.
