Radiologic Technologist – X-Ray

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-Ray to join our team. This role involves performing a wide variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise to facilitate accurate diagnoses while ensuring the highest level of patient care in compliance with departmental and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical procedures using X-Ray equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
• Demonstrate initiative and apply appropriate skills for accurate diagnosis.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACS applications effectively.
• Supervise and instruct departmental personnel as assigned.
• Attend mandatory annual education sessions regarding infection control, blood borne pathogens, and body substance isolation.
• Maintain competencies required for the department.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least 1 year of current experience.
• ARRT (R) Certification is required.
• Massachusetts Radiology License is required or proof of application must be provided.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
• Excellent patient care skills are essential.
• A personal vehicle is required for this position.

Shift and Schedule

• Four 9-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Availability for weekend coverage every other weekend and holiday, as needed.
• On-call responsibilities may be required, with specifics determined during the interview process.

All requests for time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at the time of application. Requests made after submission will not be approved. Travelers are expected to work certain holidays and must be available during specified holiday weekends.
