Occupational Therapist (OT)

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for delivering occupational therapy services to patients. This role involves providing direct patient care, collaborating with other healthcare team members, and participating in the formulation of comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to clients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Utilize various rehabilitation equipment including, but not limited to:
  • Splints
  • Orthoses
  • Prostheses
  • Wheelchairs
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADL) equipment
  • Modalities

Shift Information:

Full-time position consisting of 8-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required based on patient needs.

Orientation and Holidays:

An initial non-billable orientation period of 8 hours is required. As part of the commitment to patient care, the Occupational Therapist must be available to work during key holidays and weekends, including:

• Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday
• Christmas Eve through Christmas Day, including the following weekend
• New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day, including the following weekend

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of current inpatient occupational therapy experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or active American Red Cross equivalent.
• An updated Skills Checklist in Occupational Health, current to within the last year.
• A supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
• Valid Massachusetts occupational therapy license.
