Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide care in both Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and Home Health (HH) settings, with an approximate equal distribution of time between the two. This position is primarily based in the Beatrice area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic services in both SNF and HH settings, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
• Supervise and collaborate with one Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) as necessary.
• Manage patient care while meeting productivity expectations of 80% in SNF and using points-based metrics for HH.
• Utilize healthcare software, including HCHB for Home Health and NetHealth for Skilled Nursing Facilities, to document and track patient progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant setting.
• Required certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC.
• Open to new graduates with related educational background.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 36 hours per week, working varying days within the week, from Sunday through Saturday.

Additional Information

• The position involves local travel within an 80-mile radius, combining responsibilities primarily in SNF and Home Health.
• There is a therapy supervisor onsite to provide support and guidance.
