Nursing Leadership Position

We are seeking a dedicated nursing leader to provide unit-based leadership while collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the development and provision of clinical services.
• Supervise and direct unit personnel to ensure effective patient care.
• Initiate and coordinate individual and team conferences with health team members, patients, and families to develop and revise care plans.
• Direct and monitor personnel performance to ensure quality care and adherence to patient safety protocols.
• Engage in direct patient care as needed, fostering an environment of patient and family-centered care.
• Make rounds to assess patient needs and introduce yourself to patients and families.
• Solicit feedback regarding the quality of nursing services and address any concerns.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction for patients, families, and physicians.
• Investigate and resolve patient care and operational issues promptly.
• Recommend changes to policies and procedures as necessary for improved patient care delivery.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is required.
• Master’s Degree is preferred.
• A minimum of five years of technical experience is preferred.
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills is required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is preferred.
• Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification is required.
