Surgical Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. The Surgical Technologist will assist in surgical operations, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available and prepared for the surgical team.

Schedule

This position offers a variable schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgery, including equipment and instrument setup.
• Assist with patient positioning and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assist in surgical procedures.
• Ensure that all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team and provide support as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in a relevant specialty.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required.
• Preferred certifications: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).

Holiday Expectations

Must be willing to work 2 major holidays from the following: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, as well as 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.
