Med/Surg Neuro Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position is for a Med/Surg Neuro Registered Nurse responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from complex surgeries, including abdominal surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, and otolaryngology procedures. The nurse will work within a supportive team environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Start Date: November 16
• Shift: Night, 3×12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• Weekend Requirements: Yes, unless otherwise stated in the schedule
• Floating: May float within the hospital

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Med/Surg RN with strong medical-surgical and telemetry experience
• Academic medical center experience is preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

The facility supports the professional growth of staff and is designated as a Magnet, Teaching Center, equipped with 637 staffed beds. The work environment promotes teamwork and excellence in patient care through the use of EPIC for charting.

Guaranteed Hours

In the event of low census, healthcare providers may be called off without charge or placed on-call in 4-hour increments, up to the equivalent of one shift in a 2-week cycle. For ambulatory or surgical services areas closed on weekends and holidays, scheduling may not occur.
