Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in circulating for orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess independent performance capabilities and a commitment to patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Circulate for complex surgical cases in orthopedics, spine, and neurosurgery
• Ensure efficient and safe surgical operations while providing support to surgical teams
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Assist in maintaining a sterile environment and follow protocols for infection control
• Adapt to changing schedules and assist with various surgical specialties as needed

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience as an Operating Room RN or combined OR experience
• Proven experience circulating in orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgical procedures
• Scrub experience is highly preferred, particularly in complex neuro, spine, and orthopedic cases
• Familiarity with Da Vinci robotic surgical systems is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, with rotating on-call requirements

Expectations

• Minimum time off requests during assignments; approval is required before confirmation
• Mandatory overtime may be required to ensure unit coverage
• May float or be reassigned within 30 miles of the original assignment as needed
