Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who will be responsible for circulating in the operating room with a focus on orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgical procedures. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience, ensuring safe and efficient patient care during complex surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently circulate in the operating room for orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgical procedures.
• Be proficient in handling various surgical instruments and techniques relevant to the assigned specialty.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care.
• Adhere to surgical protocols and assist in the establishment of surgical instruments and sterile fields.
• Participate in mandatory overtime and be flexible with scheduling to meet departmental needs.
• Assist with DiVinci robotic cases as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-5 years of combined operating room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience circulating in orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgical surgeries is required.
• Scrub experience is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform independently, as indicated on a competency checklist.
• Comfortable with complex procedures and various surgical technologies.

Additional Information

• Variable hours based on departmental needs, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• On-call requirements are included; candidates should be prepared for a minimum of one weekend per month.
• Must maintain minimal time-off requests throughout the assignment, with prior approval required.
• Personnel may be re-assigned to different departments or facilities within a 30-mile radius as necessary.
