Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in circulating for orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgeries and must be capable of performing these tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist during surgical procedures, specifically in orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgery.
• Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for surgeries.
• Maintain a sterile environment and oversee the implementation of safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Possibly assist with scrub duties, particularly in complex neuro, spine, and orthopedic cases.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse or combined OR experience.
• Proven circulating experience is essential; scrub experience is highly preferred.
• Comfort and competency with Da Vinci robotic cases is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Must demonstrate the capability to perform independently with surgical procedures as per checklist validation.

Additional Information

• Must be available for on-call duties, with at least one weekend per month required.
• Time off requests should be minimized during the assignment and must be approved in advance.
• Personnel may be floated to different departments or units within a reasonable distance based on clinical competence.
