Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room, specializing in a variety of procedures including General Surgery, Gynecology, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Podiatry, and utilizing the da Vinci Robot surgical system. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency as a circulator and have experience in a high-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room setting.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the highest standards of care for patients across various specialties.
• Maintain an efficient and effective workflow during surgical procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Unit Information

• Number of Operating Rooms: 7
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Meditech
• Patient Population: Serves individuals of all ages

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting required.
• Current RN licensure in West Virginia.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH.
• Experience as a circulator in the listed specialties is mandatory.
• Preferred experience as an OR Scrub/Circulator.

Work Schedule

• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend coverage: Every other weekend or as needed.
• Call requirements: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month.
