Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

This position involves working night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with options for 3×12 or 4×12 hour schedules. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Float assignments may be necessary, based on unit needs and individual skill sets.

Staffing Ratios

• Nights: 1 nurse to 6 patients

Patient Population

The unit primarily cares for adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on the following diagnoses:

• Stroke/TIA
• Seizure
• Syncope
• Pneumonia (PNA)
• Chest Pain
• Dialysis
• Acute Kidney Failure
• Post Heart Catheterization
• Respiratory Failure
• Encephalopathy
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Sepsis

Unit Details

This unit serves as the inpatient area for stroke and TIA patients, alongside managing higher acuity medical-surgical patients. A strong emphasis is placed on enhancing patient experience. The unit has capabilities for peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in TN is required
• Minimum one year of nursing experience
• Proficient in EPIC electronic health record system
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
