Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult ICU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing comprehensive care to patients facing critical health issues, including but not limited to heart attacks, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and implement patient care plans.
• Treat wounds and deliver advanced life support as needed.
• Assist physicians with medical procedures.
• Monitor and record vital signs of patients accurately.
• Ensure the proper functioning of medical equipment such as ventilators and monitors, making adjustments as necessary.
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform suctioning and other necessary interventions.
• Collaborate effectively with the critical care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Respond to life-saving situations promptly and according to nursing standards and protocols.
• Advocate for patients and provide education and support to their families.
• Care for both pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• May serve in roles of case management or engage in policy-making and administrative functions.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience in critical care settings is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to adapt to rapidly changing situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
