LTC/SNF Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

The LTC/SNF Registered Nurse (RN) position provides comprehensive nursing care to residents in a Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting. This role involves working closely with a variety of patients, primarily focusing on elderly individuals with conditions such as dementia. The RN will be responsible for ensuring quality care and maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Shift Information

• Available Shifts: Days and Nights
• Shift Length: 8 or 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and progress using electronic medical records.
• Take charge of the nursing unit as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Experience in managing geriatric patients is preferred.

Unit Information

• Bed Capacity: 51 beds
• Nursing Ratios: 2 nurses during the day and 1 nurse overnight
• Electronic Medical Records System: PCC
• Location-Specific Orientation: 2 hours with a lead team followed by 1-2 shifts on the floor with another staff member.

Additional Notes

• Local rates apply for travel within 80 miles.
• No on-call or callback duties are required.
• A fee will be incurred for backouts or quits with less than 14 days’ notice.
