Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Peri-Anesthesia Services team. This position involves providing care to patients recovering from surgery in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery.
• Monitor patients, including those with nerve blocks, chest tubes, central lines, intubation, and A-lines.
• Assist in coverage for Pre-Operative services as needed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide care for various surgical specialties including ortho, neuro, general, urology, dental (adults and pediatrics), gynecology, and pediatric ENT procedures such as tonsillectomies and bone marrow transplants.

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred, with experience in various surgical recoveries excluding cardiac surgeries.
• Experience with pediatric patients is mandatory; critical care experience is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in a Level II trauma environment is a plus.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with two available shifts: one from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and another from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Call coverage will be required.
