NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Join our dedicated team as a NICU Registered Nurse, where you will provide exceptional care to neonates in a Level 4 NICU environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of advanced medical equipment and contribute to the health and recovery of our smallest patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonates in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize specialized knowledge and skills in neonatal care, including ventilatory support, IV management, and other advanced therapeutic modalities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Float between units as needed, including PICU and CVICU, and to satellite locations, ensuring continuity of care.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation in the electronic health record.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Level 4 NICU or strong Level 3 surgical experience with surgical newborns.
• Valid California RN license (pending applications may be accepted with an ETA for approval).
• National certifications in BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS are highly preferred.
• Strong competency with neonatal equipment including ventilators, CPAP, specialty gases, and IV lines.
• Must have own transportation and be willing to travel between locations.
• Experience with line changes involving multiple medications is required.

Schedule Information:

• The role offers both straight and variable night shifts (3×12 hours).
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays, specifically Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
• RTO restrictions allow for a maximum of 6 days off.
