Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department setting, ensuring the best outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the emergency department, assessing patients’ conditions and needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Maintain patient records and documentation within the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Floats to various locations as required to support department needs.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• Must be willing to work weekends and float between different locations as needed.
• Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the main facility site.

Work Schedule

This position involves 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00), with a rotation of every other weekend required. Scheduled shifts will be assigned based on department needs.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours based on contracted shifts; call-off policy includes 2 shifts per 13-week assignment.
• Return staff policy stipulates that previous staff must be away for at least 1 year prior to returning as travelers.
• Contract extensions are limited to one, with a mandatory 6-month break required before returning.
