Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse in this position will provide care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This is a night shift role consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to deliver effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and health management.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience is required.
• MUST possess a valid Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand.
• AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Candidates must be willing to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start.
• One recent professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required.

Additional Information

During orientation, candidates will be required to complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment, achieving an acceptable score on both.
