Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will be adaptable and prepared to work in an Observation Unit, providing high-quality care to patients requiring progressive care services. This position may involve floating between multiple locations as needed.

Shift Information

• Scheduled hours: 36 hours per week
• Guaranteed minimum: 24 hours per week
• Willingness to float to similar units or sister locations is required

Weekend and On-Call Requirements

• Weekend schedule to be determined by the facility
• On-call requirements will be established by the facility

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, implementing necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments and care activities accurately and timely.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff as needed.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of recent PCU experience required.
• Current life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI (BLS and ACLS).
• No hits on state license to practice.
• Must provide proof of a valid driver’s license for residency verification.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.

Additional Requirements

• The candidate must be available to start on the specified date or within one week thereafter.
• Requests for time off (RTO) must not exceed 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment.
• All candidates must submit a completed skills checklist for the PCU, verified within the last 12 months.
