Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our inpatient pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of medication distribution practices, pharmaceutical care, and patient safety. This position offers variable shifts throughout the week, providing flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Process and dispense medications accurately and safely in accordance with established protocols.
• Provide medication therapy management and counseling to healthcare providers and patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and medication management.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with health regulations and pharmacy laws.
• Participate in ongoing education and training programs relevant to pharmacy practice.

Work Schedule

Shifts will be variable within the following range: Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM; Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 5 PM.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois pharmacy license and registration is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Additional training in nutritional support, IV therapy, and pharmacokinetics is preferred.

Guaranteed Hours

This position guarantees 40 hours of work per week.
