Pharmacist

Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing daily professional activities within the Pharmacy Department. Responsibilities include compounding, preparing sterile products, providing drug consultations, dispensing medications, offering drug information, and monitoring patient drug therapies.

Job Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience: Preferred experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with residency training considered advantageous.
• Licenses or Certifications: Current state Pharmacist License.

• Ability to interact professionally with hospital staff and the public.
• Demonstrated emotional maturity and self-awareness, consistently performing with integrity and respect.
• Must possess tact, good judgment, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Physical Requirements

The role requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, sitting, walking, standing, talking, and hearing. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally, the incumbent may need to lift supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.

Additional Requirements

• At least two years of recent experience in the field.
• Current BLS certification and a valid nursing license as per the state’s requirements.
• Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems is preferred.
