Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical team. This role will focus on caring for adult to geriatric patient populations, managing a variety of diagnoses including diabetes, post-operative care, wound vacs, and bariatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a medical-surgical environment
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans accordingly
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize electronic health record systems (Epic) for documentation and patient management
• Assist in the management of patients with various medical conditions

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with electronic health records (Epic) is essential

Work Environment

This position will require working in a Medical-Surgical/Remote Telemetry unit with a ratio of 1:5-6, accommodating a 33-bed capacity with an average daily census of 28 patients.

Scheduling Information

• Shifts will be 3×12 hours during the night (19:00 – 07:00)
• Must be available to work every other weekend
• Holidays: Expected to work one major holiday per assignment period, with potential additional requirements depending on the number of holidays.
• Floating to other units within the facility/scope of practice may be necessary

Compliance Requirements

Full compliance with all onboarding requirements is necessary for timely start. Non-compliance could result in delays due to orientation scheduling.
