Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in a Neurosurgical unit. The unit focuses on the care of patients with stroke, seizures, multiple sclerosis (MS), back/head/spinal conditions, and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures. Maintains professional accountability for providing patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
