Physical Therapist

Summary:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for patients assigned to physical therapy. This role entails adhering to all standards of the Physical Therapy Practice Act and delivering technical therapy care, supplies, equipment, and interventions to a designated patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Gather pertinent data from patient charts and collaborate with other caregivers.
• Independently assess all patient types as assigned.
• Recognize additional needs during evaluations and exercise good judgment in requesting, scheduling, and performing further testing.
• Interpret evaluation results and formulate relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals for patient care.
• Regularly reassess patient progress according to departmental and regulatory policies or as required.
• Identify appropriate equipment, discuss options with patients and their families, and make necessary recommendations.

Requirements:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) in the state of Texas or compact license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA only).

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
