Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC/Telemetry

Position Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients by employing the Nursing Process in compliance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse is expected to demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills in the planning and delivery of safe patient care. This role involves maintaining clinical competencies through continuous education, delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and providing direction and supervision to team members engaged in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for patient care delivery.
• Demonstrate accountability during shifts for nursing activities and patient outcomes.
• Anticipate and plan for safe and effective delivery of patient care.
• Ensure compliance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities appropriately based on staff capabilities.
• Provide leadership and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Must possess current ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Required experience with ventilators and tracheostomies.
• Current RN license in Missouri or a multi-state RN license.

Additional Information

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems is beneficial.
