Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to act swiftly in emergency situations.

Orientation Schedule

Orientation is held bi-weekly with upcoming start dates.

Position Information

• Department: Emergency Department
• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend unless otherwise specified

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, ensuring safety and comfort for patients of all ages.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions and response to treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver efficient and effective patient care.
• Utilize the electronic health record system to document patient information and care provided.
• Participate in self-scheduling using the designated scheduling application.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of emergency department experience, including at least 1 year of travel nursing experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications are required.
• Patient Care Skills: Ability to handle a team of patients with varying acuity levels and recognize changes in patient conditions.
• Education: Current valid RN license.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 17
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Patient Population: Primarily adult and geriatric, with some pediatric patients.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Navy Blue; HRMC t-shirts are acceptable.
• Unacceptable Attire: Hoodie sweatshirts are not permitted.
