Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires utilizing the Nursing Process in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and established policies and procedures. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership capabilities to ensure the safe delivery of care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in the Emergency Department.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in clinical decision-making.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities according to the education and experience of team members.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• Current Arizona RN license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Cerner.
• Willingness to float to different emergency departments and facilities as needed.

Shift Requirements

This position is for night shifts, with rotating weekends required.

Duration

The position is available for a 13-week duration.
