Registered Nurse (RN) – Electrophysiology

Position Information:

Qualifications:

• Required Licensure: Current RN License in Missouri or eligible for licensure in Missouri.
• Required Certifications: BLS from AHA only.
• Preferred Certifications: ACLS from AHA only.
• Years of Experience: 1 year of EP lab experience.
• Float Requirements: As required by the facility.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 3 EP rooms
• Equipment: EP procedure room equipment
• EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities:

• Assist Surgeons and Radiologists with diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Perform scrubbing for Electrophysiology cases, including devices and ablations.
• Manipulate angiography equipment and evaluate digital images.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and supplies used in procedures.
• Instruct and train students and other technologists in Special Procedures.
• Provide pre and post-procedure patient care as needed.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage stressful situations and recognize emergencies.

Required Skills:

• Experience with digital angiography equipment and interventional procedures.
• Ability to lift, move, and transport patients effectively.
• Proficiency with PACS and computer systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for extended periods while wearing lead protection and other necessary gear.
• Capable of continual standing and walking during procedures.
