Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC/Telemetry

Position Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive care to patients, utilizing the Nursing Process in compliance with state Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies and procedures. This role necessitates the demonstration of critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure the safe delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and maintain a safe, efficient, and therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care decision-making.
• Plan and anticipate patient needs and care requirements.
• Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of patient conditions.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate and prioritize patient care responsibilities based on staff qualifications and experience.
• Supervise and guide assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be obtained through the American Heart Association).
• Experience managing patients with ventilators and tracheostomies.
• Current RN licensure in Missouri or multi-state RN license.
