Registered Nurse (RN): Med/Surg

Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical department, providing care to a diverse patient population. The role requires a professional approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 19
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Equipment Used: Welch Allyn vital machines, masimno, careview, telemetry, sara stedy, ARJO lift
• EHR System: Medhost – Clinical Experience

Position Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Rotate every other weekend
• Call Requirements: Yes, depending on census

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Experience Required: 1-2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Float Requirements: May be required to float to medical detox, ICU, OB or ER
• Education: RN or LPN/LVN licensure required in the relevant state

Patient Population

This role primarily involves caring for geriatric and adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients.

Working Environment

The facility provides inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring a supportive environment for both staff and patients. Additional support includes a unit secretary and monitor tech stationed at the Med/Surg nurses’ station.
