Travel Registered Nurse (RN): PCU

We are seeking a skilled Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in cardiac catheterization and be ready to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

The Travel Registered Nurse (RN) will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit. This position requires adaptability to varying shifts and a strong commitment to patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health-related issues and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid nursing license.
• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a PCU or similar setting.
• Cardiac catheterization experience is required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Clearance Requirements

All candidates must complete necessary screenings prior to starting, including:

• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
• Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
• FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (if required)
• PATCH—PA State Police Clearance

Orientation

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays, and candidates must be located a minimum of 60 miles away to be considered for travel positions.
