Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab

Position Overview

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in the Cath Lab setting, focusing on diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various interventional radiology (IR) procedures, including vascular embolization, port placements, vascular stenting, and nephrostomy tube insertions.
• Handle diagnostic and interventional procedures effectively, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Utilize advanced medical technologies, including GE fluoroscopy equipment and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-paced environment.
• Provide pre and post-procedure care to patients, ensuring all health assessments are accurately recorded.
• Participate in on-call duties as required, covering weekends and other necessary shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, with a preference for IR experience.
• Active RN license and relevant certifications (RRT or RCIS) are required.
• Proficient in manifold systems, IVUS, FFR, IVL, IMPELLA, and IABP procedures.
• Ability to float to various departments, including IR when needed.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Unit Profile

• Work within a facility featuring a 90-bed capacity focused on adult patient care.
• Utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, specifically CERNER.
• Collaborate under the supervision of dedicated leadership.
