ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a mixed unit, supporting both surgical and medical patients. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate healthcare professional experienced in critical care settings.

Position Information

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: ICU (including CVICU, Surgical, Neuro)
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: Night
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: No

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 38
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 3:1
• Equipment: CRRT, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a critical care setting
• Float Requirements: Must be able to float to Med Surg and Stepdown units if necessary

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Certifications: CCRN or SCRN preferred
• Experience in open-heart recovery and CRRT is a plus
• Ability to manage a mixed patient population, including neuro and cardiovascular surgical patients

Competency Assessment

To ensure patient safety, it is mandatory for all licensed professionals providing direct patient care to pass a medication and math competency test before undertaking medication administration responsibilities. Candidates must achieve a passing grade of 90%. This exam can be retaken once if the initial attempt is unsuccessful.
