Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed registered nurse (RN). The ideal candidate will be adept at assisting with activities of daily living and will play a crucial role in patient care and support.
Job Summary
The CNA will perform tasks associated with activities of daily living, including self-care needs and routine assigned tasks. This role includes monitoring patient status and concerns, facilitating basic needs, and supporting the RN in providing comprehensive care.
Essential Functions
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care, and restorative care.
- Take and record vital signs including pulse and blood pressure.
- Help patients with their basic needs, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties, including routing patient reports.
- Utilize organizational skills to maintain unit efficiency and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Provide assessment data to certified nurses within the scope of practice, including vital signs and patient responses.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
- At least two years of recent experience in the field is preferred.
Organizational Requirements
