Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide coordinated nursing care for patients based on established standards of care and the nursing process. This position requires critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Essential Functions

• Collect and analyze relevant health data to determine the diagnosis and care issues of patients.
• Develop care plans that prescribe interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
• Implement care plans and coordinate care delivery while promoting health and a safe environment.
• Evaluate patient progress toward desired outcomes and create strategies for improvement.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver care in a supportive and compassionate environment.
• Provide educational opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
• Assist in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members as necessary.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
• Experience in an acute care facility – Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice – Required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor – Required

Organizational Requirements

All associates are required to receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment, with applicable medical and religious exemptions considered. Participation in a verification system is also required.

Work Environment

This position generally requires working a variable schedule with a focus on night shifts. Flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to the profession are essential for success in this role.
