Registered Nurse – PACU

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient care and have experience in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Job Details

• Shift: 4×10 Hour shifts (10:30 AM – 9:00 PM)
• Assignment Length: 8 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2-week period
• Weekend Requirement: No
• On-call Requirement: No

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients undergoing same-day surgeries and those being admitted for inpatient procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients post-anesthesia, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to facilitate patient recovery and discharge.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC charting.

• Pediatrics (1 year and older)

• Geriatrics

• Cardiovascular lab
• Interventional Radiology

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in PACU or related unit preferred.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Required to float between units as needed.
