Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cytotechnologist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of cytology and demonstrate expertise in the evaluation and interpretation of cytological specimens. This position is essential for providing accurate diagnoses that contribute to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine cytological specimens, including fine needle aspirations and gynecological smears, for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare and stain specimens using appropriate techniques to ensure high-quality analyses.
• Electronically document findings and maintain accurate records of cytological interpretations.
• Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and aid in clinical decision-making.
• Participate in quality control measures to uphold laboratory standards and procedures.
• Stay updated with advancements in cytology and participate in continuous education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Cytotechnologist from ASCP or equivalent.
• Proficient in laboratory software and technology used for specimen analysis and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

This position operates on a day shift, working five 8-hour shifts per week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
