Registered Nurse (RN) / Labor & Delivery

Role Overview

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and nursing support to Labor and Delivery patients through all stages of obstetrical care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment while planning for and delivering safe patient care.
• Ensure clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the qualifications and experience of the staff members.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in the relevant state.
• A minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.

Work Schedule

This position involves working night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with an expectation of 36 hours each week.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients and supporting the healthcare team in achieving optimal patient outcomes.
