Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience and must possess expertise in using EPIC. This position involves working weekend shifts and requires on-call availability as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform triage and support in Labor and Delivery, including post-partum and neonatal care.
• Utilize external fetal monitoring and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns for effective treatment.
• Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries.
• Participate in team collaboration to enhance patient care within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Provide care to a diverse population including neonates, adolescents, and adults.
• Float to Perinatal as necessary to meet patient care requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong competency in external fetal monitoring.
• Ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Experience in circulating for C-sections.

Unit Information

• Unit Composition: 4 Triage, 11 Labor/Delivery Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms, NICU, and Post-Partum.
• High-risk and low-risk Labor & Delivery focus, with a support team of 24 OB hospitalists and OB anesthesia professionals.

Required Certifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• AWHONN Advanced certification

Additional Information

Registered Nurses must communicate their requested time off (RTO) at the time of submission. RTO is limited to a maximum of three days, and no time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with only one holiday RTO request, which is subject to approval.
