Department Description

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and those who require both emergent and elective surgeries. Patients in the Medical Surgical unit receive the highest standards of professional care from dedicated staff members. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.

Experience/Education/Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• AHA ACLS and NIHSS certifications required for specific roles within the unit.
