Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with expertise in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedic procedures. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while working in a dynamic surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties, including Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics.
• Ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Participate in call schedules and weekend shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Operating Room prior to travel assignments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedic nursing.
• Must have a valid nursing license and compliance documentation to ensure timely onboarding.
• Ability to float within the facility and to outpatient areas as needed.

Scheduling

The position requires flexible scheduling, including variable weekend shifts and on-call duty, to meet the needs of the unit.

Time Off Policy

• A maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed.
• No holiday RTO will be approved during designated blackout dates: 11/23 – 11/29 and 12/21 – 1/3.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance with required documentation is necessary to begin the assignment on time. Orientation hours vary based on contract length, with orientation required before commencing duties.
