Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

An opportunity is available for a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join a dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care during labor and delivery, ensuring a positive experience for mothers and newborns alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and monitor fetal heart rate tracings.
• Administer labor medications and assist in the labor process.
• Conduct cervical exams and provide education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.
• Maintain a compassionate and supportive environment for patients during their labor and delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Current RN license.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in labor and delivery.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal monitoring.
• Strong understanding of the labor process and ability to interpret fetal heart rate tracings.

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1, depending on circumstances.
• Number of Beds in Unit: 5.

Work Schedule

This position will involve night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a total of 36 guaranteed hours per week. Weekend hours will be assigned on a rotating basis.
