Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Job Description

As a key member of the surgical team, the Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) plays a critical role in maintaining the health and welfare of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Under the supervision of the Operating Room Supervisor, the OR RN is responsible for assessing patient needs and the specifics of each procedure, anticipating the requirements of the surgical team, and providing essential services while upholding a safe and aseptic environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient health and welfare throughout the surgical process.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients and surgical procedures.
• Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team.
• Ensure a sterile and safe working environment in the operating room.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate state.
• Experience in an operating room or surgical setting is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

This position involves working 8-hour shifts on a rotating call schedule during the day. Please note that applicants who reside within Montana must be located more than 250 miles from the healthcare facility to be considered.
