Job Summary

The Physical Therapist plans and conducts segments of treatment programs aimed at restoring and improving physical, social, and mental functions, while aligning with department objectives. This role includes serving as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.

Education and Work Experience

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required; for those obtaining licensure after January 2016, or foreign equivalent.
• Two years of physical therapy experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Physical Therapy licensure in the state of practice: Required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required.

Essential Functions

• Complete evaluations to ensure that quality standards are met and address any assessment areas requiring attention.
• Utilize appropriate clinical techniques and tools to establish individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide therapy interventions using relevant treatment protocols and techniques.
• Develop individualized care and discharge plans, ensuring they are communicated to all relevant parties.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
• Supervise assigned assistants.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
