Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 20+ week or 13-week contracts available until February 27, 2027.
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Call Requirement: No on-call responsibilities.
• Float Requirement: No floating to other departments.

Patient Care Ratios

• Non-Critical: 3:1 (4:1 during high-callout situations).
• Critical Patients: 2:1.
• Medical Borders in Emergency Department: 5:1.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum Experience: 2 years in an emergency room setting.
• Essential Skills: IV Start, Triage, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation.
• Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS.
• Willingness to accept first-time travelers and local candidates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred Skills: ENPC.
• Experience in trauma care is a plus.

Job Overview

This role involves caring for adult patients with various diagnoses, including STEMI, stroke, and level 2 trauma. The emergency room handles approximately 170 visits per day and features 53 patient rooms.

System Proficiencies

• Familiarity with PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems is required.

Orientation and Training

• Orientation Duration: 36 or 48 hours.

Additional Notes

• All candidates must successfully pass EKG testing prior to starting.
• Please note that there will be no block scheduling offered.
• Scrubs: Navy Blue.
