Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Intermediate Care Unit. The ideal candidate must possess a current Illinois nursing license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. A graduate of an accredited nursing program is required, and education verification will be mandated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing protocols, policies, and state laws.
• Documents patient care in adherence to established standards.
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with hospital policy, incorporating patient and family education.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s comprehensive plan of care.
• Employs critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, and escalates concerns through the appropriate channels.

Shift Information

Shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Holiday coverage is required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Certifications required: ACLS and BLS/BCLS.
