Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical (RN)

Job Summary

The Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in an acute medical unit. The role requires a professional nurse who is skilled in managing the care of diverse patient populations undergoing surgical interventions and medical treatments.

Schedule

• Monday to Sunday, 7 PM to 7 AM

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and care post-discharge.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing role.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.

Holiday Expectations

The RN is required to work two major holidays out of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, as well as one minor holiday such as the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.
